Valentine’s Day has come and gone now, had a nice little dinner with Abbey following her workout and then I was off to get mine in. Kids were very cooperative and had a good evening.
Finn’s sleeping was less than fantastic and we were up 3 times to deal with him, so our sleep suffered as well.
Sleep: 5/10 - Still managed 6 hours but too many up and downs with Finn.
Food: 8/10 - Hit my calorie goal as well as not snacking/cheating/etc. Good dinner.
Activity: 8/10 - Good spin on the bike at the YMCA and good effort on the lifts. Three rounds of sumo deadlift high pull (x15), box jumps (x15) and wall ball shots (x15). Did some ab work as well as some inverted pushups to cap it all off.
Not a bad start. Fasting was mostly successful. I think I might have broken the rules a little bit between working out and putting the kids down and then finally eating. Goes with the territory though.
Sleep last night was pretty good, kids were not up as early and everyone stayed in bed!
Probably overindulged a little with dinner last night, could have gotten away with 1/2 of my dinner but there was that whole fasting thing.
Sleep: 8/10
Food: 3/3
Activity: 8/10 (5k in 21:55, some heavy lifting (biceps + back) and fitness (wall ball shots, throws & BOSU ‘shups)
Day 1 of 46, today begins a new challenge, healthy, whole eating/primal/paleo, no alcohol, no snacks/treats/cheats at work and in severe moderation while at home.
Workout schedules and intensity will be picked up and/or improved upon.
As it is Ash Wednesday and the beginning of Lent, it is a day of fasting, so there is a big challenge right off the bat. In addition, it’s “doughnut Wednesday” here at the office, another challenge, that I’ve been working on off and on since January 1.
Progress will be made, challenges met, goals achieved, and I will attempt to capture those steps forward here.
Yesterdays notes:
Sleep (last night): 6/10 - kids up early and restless from 4:30-6:00am
Food (yesterday): 1/3 - Good breakfast, terrible lunch and dinner, it was Fat Tuesday after all…
Activity: 7/10 - Spin session on the bike was pretty good, lifts were pretty good too, inclined bench, 115# deadlifts to get form down, dumbbell clean and press.
Bath time, gasp!
